SKELETON PARTY is a new band from Indianapolis that blends metalcore and post-hardcore influences with brother harmonies and thoughtfully composed lyrics that set them apart. The band launched in 2025 and is helmed by singer-songwriter Joshua Powell who spent over a decade in the worlds of folk and indie rock and finally returned to his roots in the hardcore scene of his native Florida. The band also features Jacob Powell (of Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band) on drums and vocals, Josh “Bass Mountain” Townsend (Maciann, Kara Cole) on bass, and Greg Hojnacki (formerly of Annapurna) on guitar. 

The band's first LP is self-produced and mixed and mastered by Wes Heaton at Holy Ground in Indianapolis and Jeremy Mang at Whisper Studios in Kokomo. The band's singles “COFFIN CLUB,” “TUNE THE HARP,” and “TRENCH THE GHOST” were previously released as Joshua Powell songs, but are now attributed to the newly minted SKELETON PARTY group, planting the foundational seeds of the band's new unapologetically heavy sound. 

2025 will see the release of new, more unabashed songs and their first official release on ROMANUS RECORDS, home of other heavy hitters like Calva Louise and Pat and the Pissers.
